Eurovisão ????????

Pois com este post afasto os poucos (nulos) visitantes deste meu cantinho...

Aqui confesso que ainda sigo o Festival da Canção.

Tenho que aqui rectificar.

Nem sempre vejo o português. Ainda não consegui perceber os vários formatos de escolher a "nossa" representante e tenho muitas saudades das ligações aos diferentes lugares de Portugal para ouvirmos a votação.

Mas confesso que o europeu sigo com fidelidade. Não o vou defender nem tentar torná-lo mais do que aquilo que (para mim) é: uma noite com muitas músicas na sua (grande) maioria inconsequentes, inócuas e inememoráveis (?).

Com todo o despudor que este nome fictício me dá, e a verificação que ninguém me vê, ouve ou lê, tento, a bem da MINHA verdade, perceber, ou tentar perceber, a razão de ainda seguir esta feira.

... saudosismo?
- não. Saudosismo foi um movimento estético ocorrido em Portugal no primeiro quartel do século XX, de que foi mentor Teixeira de Pascoaes. Intimamente ligado à revista A Águia, órgão da Renascença Portuguesa, congregou intelectuais como Jaime Cortesão, Leonardo Coimbra, António Carneiro, António Sérgio e, pela sua vertente de sebastianismo messiânico, Fernando Pessoa.
O saudosismo consubstancia uma atitude humana perante o mundo que tem como base a saudade, considerada por Pascoaes o grande traço espiritual definidor da alma portuguesa — o que, segundo o poeta, é testemunhado pela literatura portuguesa ao longo dos séculos. No entanto, mais do que sentimento individual, a saudade é elevada a um plano místico (relação do Homem com Deus e com o mundo, ânsia nostálgica da unidade do material e do espiritual) e corresponde a uma doutrina política e social.
Surgido no clima mental nacionalista, tradicionalista e neo-romântico de inícios do século, o saudosismo pretendia, tomando a saudade como princípio dinâmico e renovador (de forma algo obscura) levar a cabo, pela acção cultural, a regeneração do país. Seria, de acordo com o seu teorizador, a primeira corrente autenticamente portuguesa. Ligado a uma expectativa messiânica e profética, o saudosismo acabou por dar azo ao afastamento de alguns dos seus adeptos — como António Sérgio, que não reconhecia no seu passadismo capacidade de renovação, ou até Fernando Pessoa, que, embora partilhando este elemento messiânico, acabou por preferir o projecto cosmopolita e revolucionário da Orpheu.
O saudosismo, embora tenha desaparecido como corrente literária e espiritual, mantém ainda ecos na obra de alguns escritores e pensadores ligados à análise do carácter nacional e dos seus traços definidores.

O desfile de culturas (ainda) tão diferentes apaixona-me. A desgraçada e até ridícula tentativa de serem iguais, de cantarem em inglês, de terem imagens estereotipadas leva-me a gargalhadas imensas.

isto dito, aqui deixo facto engraçados, que, quer queiramos ou não, faz parte do imaginário de todos aqueles que como eu, trintões, seguíamos os festivais.

As músicas vencedoras (e outras nem precisavam de ganhar) eram as mais ouvidas, os singles eram encomendados no senhor da esquina (-óh senhor Santos, guarde-me o single da música portuguesa e da que ganhar!)

51 years of Eurovision Song Contest brought us some fascinating statistics!

Some of them can be interesting to take into account when you take part in the competition, others are just fun!

More than 1,000 songs already took part in the Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2006, the song of Ireland's Brian KENNEDY was number 1,000.
In 2003, Cyprus delivered the 900th song for the Eurovision Song Contest.
In 1999, Lydia's No Quiero Escuchar was the 800th song.
Number 100 was T'en Va Pas, performed by Esther OFARIM for Switzerland.
De Troubadour performed by Lenny Kuhr was the 200th song in 1969.
Malta brought number 300 in 1975; Singing This Song.
He, He M'sieurs Dames was the 400th song performed on the Eurovision Song Contest, this time by France in 1980.
Luxembourg had the 500th song in 1986, L'amour De Ma Vie.
Portugal the 600th song in 1990 with Há Sempre Alguém.
In 1994, the Polish representative performed song number 700, To Nie Ja.

The 1,100th song will probably be performed in 2008.

· Noel KELEHAN conducted five winners (1980, 1987, 1992, 1993 and 1996)
· Dutch conductor Dolf VAN DER LINDE conducted for seven different countries (Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.
· Johnny LOGAN won the Eurovision Song Contest three times. In 1980 and 1987 he represented Ireland as performer and won both times, in 1992 he wrote Linda MARTIN's winning entry
· Poland made the most impressive debute in 1994, when Edyta GORNIAK came 2nd with To Nie Ja
· Norway could be found at the bottom of the list as many as ten times! The unfortunates came last in 1963, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1981, 1990, 1997, 2001 and 2004. Nevertheless, they also won twice (in 1985 and 1995)
· Ireland won 7 times, Luxembourg, France and the United Kingdom 5 times. Sweden and the Netherlands won 4 times
· In 2001, the largest audience ever attended the Eurovision Song Contest. Almost 38,000 people gathered at Copenhagen's Parken Stadium
· In 2007, 42 countries will participate, smashing the 2006 record
